Lani is my
youngest daughter. She was born November 19, 1981. I have always referred
to her as my "perfect child." She was the "perfect
baby, the "perfect toddler," the "perfect teenager,"
and now the "perfect young adult." I keep waiting for the
other shoe to drop. Seriously, she is a warm, loving person, and I'm very
proud of her.
She is also the only child
I have left living at home. I'll probably cry for days when
she finally does leave home. I didn't think I would ever get over my
other two children leaving home. I know, most parents look forward
to that time, but I like having my children around.
She'll probably be upset
that I mention this, but - Lani has been dieting over the last year or so
and has last almost 100 pounds. It's quite an accomplishment, and I think it
deserves acknowledgement. So, don't be mad at me Lani - I love you!
Lani has gone back to school full time.
Needless to say, I'm very pleased with her choice. She's
doing very well in school, and I'm oh so proud of her. She
works part-time, works hard in her school work, and still finds
time to help me out around the house.

See Lani when
she was a
baby; when she
graduated high
school.
